Operational Functions In this section, the criminal intelligence functions that support the law enforcement operational functions examined in the prior section are presented. The following figure summarizes the Mission Functions and their relationship to the Mission Phases. Although all operational functions can be provided with intelligence support, not every enforcement or investigative function will require intelligence support for each mission. The intelligence needs of the operational units vary with the mission complexity, content and the time available to provide such intelligence. |
